This Cyber Media Guideline was prepared as a reference for managing and publishing journalistic content in RakyatPress.com, in accordance with the principles of press independence, public responsibility, as well as the provisions of applicable laws and regulations in Indonesia.
These guidelines refer to Law Number 40 of 1999 concerning the Press and Press Council Cyber Media News Guidelines.
1. Scope
RakyatPress.com is a cyber media that produces and disseminates journalistic work in the form of text, photos, videos and/or multimedia via the internet network.
2. News Verification and Balance
- Every news published via RakyatPress.com must go through a verification process.
- News that has the potential to harm other parties must be presented in a balanced manner.
- Under certain conditions, news can be published without complete confirmation, but editors are required to carry out further verification and updates as soon as possible.
3. News Corrections, Errors and Rights of Reply
- RakyatPress.com provides the right of reply and the right of correction in accordance with the Press Law.
- Corrections, corrections or clarifications are displayed proportionally.
- Misinformation that harms other parties will be corrected in good faith and accompanied by an explanation to the reader.
4. News Revocation
- News that has been published is not revoked, except for legal, ethical or court decisions.
